From luxury goods to everyday essentials, here’s how Axway B2B integration helps keep supply chains moving around the world

It was such a joy for us to hear our customers at Axway Summit events worldwide share the stories of their partnership with us – some of which started more than 20 years ago with other more recent customers and partners.

Consider a few examples that were shared of how Axway’s B2B Integration platform is helping move supply chains globally – from champagne to rubber tires, comfort food, or prescription medication.

Many customers and partners told us that seeing how others implement our solutions and process their B2B flows was extremely valuable to them, so let’s dive right in!

Preserving the health of people and animals with on-time medication supply

Cencora’s healthcare supply chain includes over 29,000 active trading partners. Within this network, they must support 300 million transactions annually and account for a roughly 10% year over year increase in trading partners.

Cencora’s EDI channel handles approximately 65% of the daily order volume for products. While EDI remains a powerful tool for driving their supply chain, Cencora is also leveraging the benefits of APIs hand-in-hand with EDI

For example, they harness Axway B2Bi’s API capabilities to deliver EDI metadata directly to the business.

On the outbound side, they have created a workflow that automatically shows users when their message has been sent and acknowledged by a partner. This deflects calls away from the EDI helpdesk and frees their team to focus on other development and support activities.

At Axway Summit North America in Denver, Colorado, Werner Jennings (SupplyOn, Vice President Sales) and Manish Vijayvergiya (Cencora, Director Application Development & Service Operations) shared with JB Benz, Axway B2B General Manager, some of their best practices, tools, and know-how for real-time visibility, advanced analytics, AI, forecasting techniques, and how to build a sustainable and resilient business

Cencora was also the North America winner of the Visionary Excellence Award this year. Using a security roadmap laid out by Axway, the company can see vulnerabilities ahead of time to navigate a myriad of complexity and inbound/outbound messages and process 4x the load – helping to strengthen security in the American healthcare supply chain industry.

Supplying the Golden Arches around the globe

Established in 1974 with a "handshake agreement" to serve McDonald's restaurants in Chicago, HAVI Logistics has since expanded significantly in size, global reach, and the variety of services and customers it serves. The classic fast-food chain remains its largest logistics customer.

At our Axway Summit event in Lyon, France, Suma Rajappa (Solution Owner, Integrations) and Daniël Stoker-Macaya (Senior Manager Integrations) shared some experiences and best practices for ensuring non-stop logistics operations.

The company effectively coordinates its B2B partner ecosystem by leveraging Axway Managed Services in the AWS cloud. With more than 500 million cases of product delivered to 38 countries last year, it’s critical for HAVI Logistics to have visibility throughout the supply chain.

That’s why the team uses Axway B2Bi for everything from order processing, supplier collaboration, invoicing and payment processing, to inventory management and shipping & logistics.

They benefit from enhanced efficiency and automation, with fast partner onboarding and strong adaptability – a must for global supply chains. Resiliency and security are maintained throughout the ecosystem thanks to strong authentication, load balancing, disaster recovery, and responsive compliance with evolving industry standards.

Keeping automotive dealers stocked with tires

For well over a decade, Dealer Tire, a global tire distributor serving automotive dealers, has leveraged Axway B2B Integration to meet supply chain demands. Dealer Tire’s industry-leading 99+% fill rate is a testament to the impact of Axway B2Bi

At Axway Summit North America, Bill Morgan, Senior Solution Engineer at Dealer Tire, shared some of the ways their team is putting our solution’s advanced mapping capabilities to use. Their use of Axway B2Bi showcases how the platform goes beyond simply converting data formats, providing sophisticated mapping tools that empower complex data exchanges across various systems and standards, like:

  • submitting orders to an ERP system;

  • submitting data to Salesforce;

  • leveraging custom data for real-time visibility and data flow monitoring.

We’ll bring you a deeper dive into these particular use cases next month, so stay tuned!

Beyond bubbles: crafting B2B integration for Moët Hennessy

Moët Hennessy relies on Axway Managed Cloud Services to fully handle their B2B integration needs, from order taking to distribution including stock management.

At EMEA Summit in France, Supply Chain & Purchasing IT Platform Manager Bérangère Tomsin and EDI Solution Owner Julien Vigier shared how Axway B2Bi helps support both Moët Hennessy’s customer-facing and logistic flows.

Axway and Olaneo Consulting, a key deployment partner, bring value to the group on several levels, such as speeding up the business cycle with harmonized processes or securing the Moët Hennessy ecosystem and optimizing costs.

The group is also advancing its ecological transition challenge with more paperless flows.

Bérangère and Julien shared that future plans include continued optimization, notably around time to market for projects & features and more proactive service offerings. Like so many enterprises, they are also engaged in modernization efforts, such as with SAP S/4HANA migration.

Learn more about why enterprises like Moët Hennessy or HAVI Logistics are choosing to scale and consolidate B2B in the cloud with expert support from Axway.

It was inspiring to hear from our customers how they have built resilient supply chains in an increasingly-complex environment. We’re proud at Axway to support them in optimizing processes and growing into modern businesses that are able to cut through the noise.
